>>> Suleiman is back in Cannes, first time selection for Caroline Strubbe, Yuki and Nina hit Directors' Fortnight
  April 30, 2009

Elia Suleiman's The time that remains has been selected in the Official Competition at the 62nd Cannes Film Festival. Through the story of a man and his son from 1948 to this day, the film looks at what it means to be Israeli. Elia Suleiman received the Jury’s Prize in Cannes in 2002 for his film Divine Intervention.
The time that remains is co-distributed by Le Pacte and Districup/Backup Films.

Lost Persons Area is Caroline Strubbe’s first feature; selected at the International Critic’s Week, it is competing for the Camera d’Or Prize. This extremely moving film explores the delicate balance of love and happiness within a family. The Flemish director, rewarded several times for her short films, has created an astonishing light to serve her subject.
Lost Persons Area is produced by Mind Meets, with the help of the Backup Films financing agency.

Yuki and Nina, co-directed by Nobuhiro Suwa and Hippolyte Girardot, has been selected at the Directors’ Fortnight. This French-Japanese feature film tells the story of two young girls who refuse to see their friendship torn apart when one of them has to move to Japan.
Yuki and Nina is produced by Comme des Cinema and les Films du Lendemain. Yuki & Nina has been co-developped by NoSugarNoMilk / Backup Films.
